TANKS STEEL WATER TANKS Galvanised and corrugated steel water tanks, designed to hold large volumes of water: from 2 m3/h to 1769 m3/h. All tanks have CE-certification, in line with the guidelines for EN 1090-1:2009+A1:2011. Water tanks are transported as a compact installation package and can be installed with man power only. LINERS Liners include the bottom insulation blanket 250gr/m2 and wall blanket 250gr/m2. • PVC Liner 0.5mm is recommended for storing rain and clean water. • PVC Liner 1.0mm is recommended for Aquaculture. PVC Liners are easier to repair. • PVC Extreme Liner 0.75mm is KIWA certified and can resist up to 3ppm of Chlorine. • EX liner 0.6mm is a high quality foil with a higher life expectancy than the PVC liner and suitable for high tanks (>5.37m) due to its higher elasticity. It has a high UV-radiation resistance and chemical resistance (fertilisers) but not resistant to Chlorine. EX material also weights 35% less than PVC liners. Additional Liners are available such as: EPDM in 0.75, 1.0 and 1.2 mm and PVC Extreme 0.75 mm. INSTALLATION Prior to installation the ground needs to be prepared and ready for installation. Concrete floor or corners, need to be dry (+14 days after construction) and sand needs to be levelled properly. If the bedding of the tank floor is made of rocks or if the concrete floor is not 100% flat, sand needs to be put on top in order to protect the liner from damage. Remember to place the Liner inside the tank ring before building the panels. The standard depth to which the tanks must be installed is 0.40m deep into the ground. Tanks of 5.37m in height need to be installed 0.80m deep into the ground and should come with an EX or EPDM liner. Indicate the position, size and amount of conical outlets that you need when ordering. Conical outlets should be the same material as the liner. 236 IRRIGATION CATALOGUE
